[NHCOLL-L:3764] archaic locality name

Hi. I'm having trouble figuring out a collecting record from 1949
listed as "Sulsy, Cal." - it shows up in none of the online
gazetteers nor other lists of California place names I've checked. It
is possibly a defunct railroad stop, and the odds are that it is from
SE California, such as Imperial County. By any chance, would someone
else happen to have a resource that reveals where exactly this might
be?

Thanks in advance,
