Hello everyone,
Our institution is undertaking an assessment for a new collections facility. We are looking to gather information about freezer trucks, the kinds of moving trucks we should use, and estimates of moving expenses. We would be packing the majority of our specimen collection as new cabinets would be in place in a new facility. However, we do have some specimens that we are considering moving in the cabinets, such as entomology, which are in cornell boxes. Does anyone have experience with moving specimens in the cabinets?
The finalized assessment will be presented to our Board, so we would also greatly appreciate advice concerning how to approach dialog with our Board members about the results of the assessment and the necessity of a new collections facility. In particular, the costs associated with building a new facility.
Your experience and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Dawn
