Hi Kent

I've been trying to track down solid testing data on Jade R to see if it is
actually sufficiently stable for use with collections of any kind. So far,
no luck. It has not been available long enough to have received much
independent testing by conservators.

We currently use Jade 403 (PVA) for mounting herbarium specimens. I
recently noticed that Jade R (EVA, i believe) is available from Talas
(http://talasonline.com/products/bookbinding.cfm). It is fully
reversible whereas Jade 403 is not.

According to Talas: "acid free archival adhesive provides a very strong
bond similar to that of the Jade 403 with the added advantage of being
reversible with water after it has dried."

Does anyone have experience with this glue?

Thanks,
Kent
