[NHCOLL-L:5530] Use for Cumene

I am trying to find an effective and safer solvent than xylene  for 
reversing archivally-mounted (balsamic) microscope slides.  Cumene has  been 
suggested as a possible panacea but I have had no experience with it as  yet.  Any 
opinions gratefully received.
