You may want to check out Randy Singer's great paper in Collection Forum on rehydrating specimens.  Some awesome results...  Don't have the paper handy but reference should be on www.spnhc.org<http://www.spnhc.org>.

Does anyone have a method to rehydrate mollusc specimens that have dried in jars? I am wondering whether to try glycerine and am not sure whether to dilute it or use it neat.
