[Nhcoll-l] Dennison small tags

Like most everyone who did not plan far enough ahead, I am nearly out of
the 17x6 mm oval punched tag formerly made by Dennison. Variously known
and used as field tags, skull tags or cleared-and-stained tags, these
little items were ideal -- the right size, good quality paper, and with
rounded edges that did not catch specimens or label strings. We all
bought all we could get when they were discontinued. I have periodically
searched for replacement tags with no luck at all, and eventually
contacted Rick Bloniasz of TLS Printing in New Hampshire.

Rick informs me that his company is interested in recreating the
Dennison tag (or one of the same width but ~5 mm longer), but they have
found that machining the stamping die is pretty expensive. He would like
to be assured that there is a market for these tags before deciding
whether to proceed. In that context, may I ask the community if your
institutions would want to purchase such tags, either

(a) original dimensions, 17x6 mm with 1 mm hole 1 mm inset, rounded ends, or

(b) 22x6 mm, same otherwise.
