[Nhcoll-l] color laser printer for cardstock?

Laser printers do not produce archival labels and are temporary at best.  I would suggest that you invest in a thermal transfer printer that prints onto spun bound polyester with SDR ribbon – a system that wet collections have been using for some time now and that produces long lasting, “permanent”, indestructible labels.  See attached.  Happy to send you some samples labels to evaluate if it will help.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a color laser printer which can handle 67lb cardstock for specimen labels?  In particular, the fuser should be able to fuse the ink well.
