Not sure that this would work as well for a gas/vapor fire, which is what is at issue in a fluid collection - also, would clearly do mechanical damage.
That kind of mechanical damage is what made gaseous fire suppression unpopular for museums, they work with a similar explosive impact - well-maintained sprinklers do much less damage.
No one should be using a fire extinguisher in a room full of flammable liquids, they should immediately vacate the space and go pull a fire alarm.

Does anyone have experience or opinions about the Elide Fire Ball? There are a variety of videos online that make it look like a potentially useful supplement in places like wet collections. While it looks like it might have some objectionable residue, several videos show it extinguishing fires quickly and, at the end of the video, shows that the explosion doesn't damage anything, including people. In conditions where the specimens are protected from the dust, it seems this could be a useful product.
