[Nhcoll-l] guidelines for printing labels

... we had some cracking of spun bound polyester of labels where we had 
specimens on loan, after they got exposed to our alcohol for approx. 1 
year. But this was few single labels only so far. Have no details on 
their system, but will look into this for the fluid best practice.

The labels Andy sent me some time back do well on my window sill; but 
this is a different polyester material.

In general, polyester labels are rather rigid; they may not be the first 
choice if they could get into direct contact with fragile specimens 
(e.g. they could break off antennas of insects or poke into jelly fish 
when labelling jars). But as said, it is surely worth to do some testing 
first and they opt for what seems most suited for your purpose.
