[Nhcoll-l] Urgent: University of Louisiana at Monroe Museum of Natural History facing imminent divestment or destruction

This is, unfortunately, an excellent example of why we need a collective
voice. Individually, our collections are too powerless to get the
institutional support we need. I think if we can come together as a
national community and make a case to home institutions, we may be able to
affect some change. Grants are great and absolutely necessary, but without
this baseline support from administrations in terms of staffing,
facilities, and long term investment, I just don't see how we're going to
have much of a future.
