[Nhcoll-l] Tax id when receiving packages with specimens for scientific study internationally?

Dear Jorge,

I concur with Ellen that tax IDs may be used by customs or carriers to 
identify receiver of imports. As posted various times, it is definitely 
worth in this context (to avoid import turnover taxes) to use the proper 
harmonised customs tariff code for museum collection objects (CN-code 
9705 00), to declare a value for customs purposes which ideally ranges 
between 1-20 U$ for the contained packing / bolstering material, and to 
clearly state that these museum objects have no commercial value and are 
not for resale.
