Dear all
I'm excited to share the advert for a new position at the University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge, UK:

We are inviting applications for the post of Museum Assistant, supporting two of the University Museum of Zoology's key functions: Assisting with the care of our collections, and ensuring our visitors gain the best possible experience of their visit to the museum.

On Sundays you will be working with the Visitor Services and Operations Team, providing Front-of-House support and working with the Visitor Engagement Volunteers. For the rest of the time, you will be working as part of the Collections Team on a range of collections care and management tasks. This will include assisting research visits and undertaking re-storage and documentation projects. You should have practical experience of collections management work and collection care, experience of supervising volunteers and must be committed to providing excellent customer-service, with a proven ability to enthuse, motivate and inform people of all ages and backgrounds, including other staff, volunteers, visitors and external stakeholders.

It is an exciting and varied opportunity offering a broad range of experience across a significant, award-winning natural history museum.

The deadline is 21 July 2024. For more information and to apply, please see here: https://www.jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/47116/

Please do forward on to anyone you think might be suitable.

All the best
