March 10, 2026: Notes From Nature: A Tool for Digitizing Collections (2:00-3:00pm ET)
Speakers: Michael Denslow (Notes From Nature)

Abstract: This webinar will focus on the public participation project Notes from Nature (https://notesfromnature.org/). Topics will include the basics of public participation projects for museum collections, Notes from Nature and ancillary tools that can assist your digitization and outreach campaigns. Other topics will include the basics of designing and implementing a public participation campaign, volunteer engagement and data analysis. We'll also cover advancements in OCR and Large Language Models (LLMs) and how they can be used to enhance your campaign. Please join if you are interested in collaborating with Notes from Nature or are just interested in learning more about public participation projects for digitizing collections.
