George let me join in the chorus of best wishes.

At some meeting of this august group I will relate George's experiences with the local records of the Federal Department of Fisheries and the RCMP!!!

As to the baseball games over the years, in the interest of national unity, George cleverly lost more games than he won in order to ensure that Easterners stayed in ACA rather than forming their own renegade archival association!! A deserving nominee for the Order of The Golden Paper Clip...

Now George will be turning his attention to golfing...

Congratulations!  Thanks for all of your advice and support over the years.  I remember one SISPA meeting when we were the only two who showed up (we quickly adjourned to the pub).  Best wishes in your retirement.  I hope you take advantage of the ACA's new "retired" membership category -- and lead the west to many more defeats in the annual ball game!  :)

Dear Heather and All,
   After reading your message, I thought it was a good time to wish all members of the Special Interest Group a Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Special New Year.  On Dec. 24th at 5:00 p.m. I lock the doors in Special Collections and retire after over 35 years as Manuscripts Archivist for the UBC Library.
