Fwd: [SAC-FAST] History as form subdivision

After going through a third or so of my records, I agree with Sherman that
the assignment of terms to 650 vs 655 in FAST appears to be problematic.
I've found a case where "Fiction" is tagged both ways on a single record,
presumably because one used $x and the other $v, as well as scattering
across records. There are also issues with form/genre terms that LC uses in
650 which FAST has not attempted to tag 655. As for "History" and similar
terms, e.g., "Criticism and interpretation," when such terms are removed
from their original string, they begin to look a lot more like genre terms.
How will FAST searchers know which category to look for these terms,
especially when a conversion program is scattering them between 650 and 655?
