[SAC-FAST] [Fwd: Interest group charge draft]

This broadening seems good to me, Stephen. While your suggested vocabularies would generally be used by catalogers building facets, there is also the faceting done by machine from regular old subject strings, along the lines of Primo and other interfaces. Maybe the important thing in Stephen's suggested mission statement is intent. FAST and AAT aim at being used as facets. LCGFT is aimed at a particular facet but I like including it since it is likely to be used in conjunction with LCSH or other vocabularies to provide the genre/form aspect (facet).
And then there's the question of a name, of course .... and nothing has yet risen from the muck. Faceted IG is not very telling but yields a memorable initialism.
