Friends--

I'm passing along one more essay for Friday's discussion.  This is a very recent
position paper John Cayley has written and it actually works well as an
introduction to his thinking.  Sadly, we won't have a session in advance of his
visit, but if you have any questions, send them to me (richard.deming at yale.edu)
and I'll send them to Cayley.

I think I haven't been clear about our room change.  This Friday our session
with Cayley will be held in the Beinecke and NOT our usual room at the Whitney
Humanities Center.  As usual it will be from 3-5 PM.  Since this particular
session will be especially cross-disciplinary, please do encourage people from
various departments and the various arts to join us.
