Dear All--
The session scheduled for this Friday is being postponed. We'll know
shortly when it will be rescheduled and I'll announce that right
away. The next definite date is 4/24 when we'll be visited by the
critic/scholar Steve Evans, who will be talking about sound and poetry.
I also wanted to make mention of a report of Roubaud and his fellow
OULIPians in NYC at an event moderated by our Jean-Jacques Poucel.
If you visit this URL you'll see a terrific photo of Jean-Jacques and
a very nice write-up from Artforum:

Meanwhile this is a busy week for events touching on WGCP.
---Tomorrow our very own Eoin Burke will be having show of his
sculpture. here's the info:
Announcing an ending in due time, a show, which will immediately
ensue a beginning which is everything else.
Please join us, or at least express interest that is only complicated
by distance.
I hope you are well;

up Monday April 6 to Saturday April 18
Locations :

---Also, This Thurs at 5.30 Adina Hoffman will be at Labyrinth
Bookstore on York St. Adina is launching her new biography of Taha
Muhammad Ali. Two years ago Adina visited the group to discuss her
work on this fascinating poet. The book is now out from Yale UP.
---And also, Suzanne Heyd, until recently a core member of WGCP
(until she moved to Philadelphia) has a new chapbook:
Suzanne Heyd's chapbook, Fascicles, is available from
Finishing Line Press and you can reserve your copy here:
http://www.finishinglinepress.com/NewReleasesandForthcomingTitles.htm
Because the chapbook is being printed as a limited collector's
edition and
the press run will be determined by the amount of orders made before
April
29, now's the time to help the work make its way in the world! The books
will ship in mid-June.
++++++++++
So, soon Jean-Jacques (currently on tour with Roubaud) will provide
minutes of our most recent session. And I will give more details
about Steve Evans's visit by the end of the week.
Onward,
Richard Deming
