The Western New England Psychoanalytic Society invites you to attend the Spring Symposium - Passion & Prohibition: A New Look At Old Tales From Oedipus To Cinderella on Saturday, April 20th at the Yale Child Study Center, New Haven, CT.

>From separate yet similar disciplinary perspectives, Professor Maria Tatar & Dr. Nancy Kulish will deconstruct the subversive, forbidden, and gendered elements of passion in fairy tales, fairy tale films and psychoanalytic theory and practice.

Maria Tatar is the John L. Loeb Professor of Germanic Languages at Harvard and an internationally recognized scholar on myth, folklore, and fairy tales. Dr. Nancy Kulish is a Training & Supervising Psychoanalyst from the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute. She is well known for her examination of the limitations of the Oedipus myth to describe female psychological development.

Please note, students may come at the reduced 'trainee' fee of $25.
