Hi all,

Happy September 1 and welcome to the new academic year!!  There has been a lot of activity on the 11th floor already and we are looking forward to continuing to welcome students, faculty, and staff into our beautiful space.  We do expect small construction projects to continue throughout the fall semester but don’t expect disruption to any classes or events being held.

Updates and news:

  *   Water dispensers – Water dispensers have been installed in each kitchenette.  They accommodate water bottles and dispense hot and cold water.  There is a built-in alarm (beeping) if there is a leak or problem with the water lines.  If the dispenser is beeping, please do not remove the battery.  Please email wti at yale.edu<mailto:wti at yale.edu> with “water dispenser” in the subject line or come to the business office to let us know.
  *   Building access – 100 College has now been made accessible to all Yale ID holders.  Faculty/students/staff can swipe through the turnstiles and into the elevator up to the 11th floor.  The common spaces are accessible; access to each faculty suite is still by swipe access only.  Please email me the name and NetID of anyone who needs access.
  *   Room Reservations –

        *   25live<https://25live.collegenet.com/yale/#home_my25live> – Currently reservations are to be made through 25Live.  Once requested, they will be reviewed for approval and then you will receive a confirmation email.  If you do not have access to the system, please send me your name, netid and email address.  The prefix for rooms in 25Live is “CO100 XXXX”.
        *   We are in the process of implementing a new room reservation system for 100 College.  Once installed, we will distribute user guides and offer training sessions.  All current reservations in 25Live will be migrated over to the new system automatically.  Anticipated date of switch over is October 1.

  *   Custodial Services – As of today, September 1, there is a permanent custodial vendor for 100 College.  They will be cleaning common areas, kitchenettes, bathrooms, emptying trash, etc.  If you have a specific custodial need please email me and I will request the service.  Please provide as much advance notice as possible.
  *   Facility requests – Requests for facilities services (non-custodial) can be entered into the system yale.assetworks.cloud/ready<https://yale.assetworks.cloud/ready>.  Depending on the service requested, it can take up to two weeks for completion ( hanging of white boards as an example)

As a reminder from last month:

  *   Bicycles/Scooters - For those who ride their bikes/scooters there is bike storage in the parking garage on the first floor of the 100 College parking garage.  Scooters and bikes are not allowed in the building.
  *   Dogs - 100 College/Winstanley allows service and therapy dogs only.
  *   Gym - There is a fitness center/gym on the 8th floor.  Monthly membership is $25.  Email to join NHFitness at Alexion.com<mailto:NHFitness at Alexion.com>
