Open OnDemand Workshop

This workshop introduces Open OnDemand, a platform that provides an easy-to-use web interface to access high performance computing (HPC) resources. The workshop will focus on best practices in the use of HPC in research. The workshop is open to all Yale researchers regardless of HPC experience. Registration is required.

The workshop will include:
An introduction to HPC and Open OnDemand
Using Job Composer for job submissions
Managing and sharing data via OOD
Performing quick self-diagnoses of common OOD issues
Managing OOD working directories
Effectively working with RStudio Server to prevent crashes
Adding GitHub Copilot to Code Server, a web-based version of VS Code
Running Julia in Jupyter Lab or Jupyter Notebook

If you have an account on any of the YCRC clusters, you are welcome to bring a laptop and follow along with the instructor.
