[WTI-trainee] Opportunity for Review of HHMI Gilliam Fellowship Application Drafts

Hi everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. The HHMI Gilliam Fellows Program 2025 Application<https://www.hhmi.org/programs/gilliam-fellows> recently opened, with a deadline of December 5. The program is open to applications from 2nd or 3rd year life science PhD students and their thesis advisors who are committed to advancing equity and inclusion in science (see program announcement<https://www.hhmi.org/sites/default/files/2024-09/2025-Gilliam-Program-Announcement.pdf> for eligibility details).  Each student-advisor pair receives an annual award of $53,000 for up to three years, as well as leadership and mentoring training, and access to a diverse community of Fellows.

PRE-SUBMISSION MATERIAL REVIEW OPPORTUNITY:
As Director for DEI for the Wu Tsai Institute, I am available for requests to review the equity, inclusion, outreach, and mentoring materials for WTI-affiliated applicants' and mentors in advance of their submission. I have served as a Gilliam Fellowship reviewer in the past and frequently advise students and faculty members on their materials.
