[WTI-trainee] Applications Open for From Milliliters to Megabytes (M2M) Scientific Computing Workshop Series!

Attention all trainees,

YBDIC, YCRC, and the Wu Tsai SPPC are banding together to host the scientific computing and data management series From Milliliters to Megabytes (M2M).

M2M is a workshop series designed to advance your computational literacy and build the essential skills you need for a successful scientific career in today's data-driven research landscape.
Developed in 2024 by the Yale BBS Diversity and Inclusion Collective (YBDIC), this series addresses a critical need of equipping graduate students with the foundational data management and computational skills required for contemporary biological research. Through four comprehensive workshops, experienced graduate student leaders and research support analysts will guide you through essential topics—from navigating the Unix environment and leveraging Yale's advanced computing infrastructure to managing packages across programming languages and implementing classic bioinformatics software pipelines.
Whether you're just beginning your computational journey or looking to strengthen your foundation, M2M will provide you with the practical knowledge and hands-on experience to confidently tackle the computing challenges of modern academic research.
Workshops will be hosted for four consecutive Tuesdays (March 24th to April 14th) from 5-7pm on the 11th floor of 100 College St. Light dinner will be served beforehand.
We are also looking for experienced computational scientists who are interested in leading or TA'ing a workshop. Please fill out the survey below if you fit this criteria.
