An exciting opportunity for graduate students and postdocs in theoretical neuroscience to share their work, explore the latest advances, network with colleagues, and generally have a good time.

Participants will include graduate students and postdocs doing theoretical neuroscience research.

Attendees will give 20-minute research talks, as well as in-depth 45-minute tutorials on theoretical techniques relevant to their research. Tutorials are presented white board style to encourage uninhibited and detailed technical discussion, a deeper understanding of the diverse techniques used in modern theoretical neuroscience, and hopefully a stronger sense of community. We see this as a unique learning opportunity for everyone involved and intend for it to be an enjoyable experience.

We are interested in those who will be able to follow the intense schedule and actively contribute to discussions. In order to maintain a small group atmosphere, allowing for extensive interactions and presentations by everyone, space at the workshop is limited. *This workshop will run alongside our Junior Scientist Workshop on Mechanistic Cognitive Neuroscience<https://hhmi.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=3c8034ebf5d74492b5c8ef8c9&id=acbc0b03d1&e=7f13d17deb>. Joint events and sessions will encourage formal and informal conversations between the groups in an effort to bridge the conceptual and pragmatic gaps between theory and experiment.*

Meals, accommodations, and travel support are provided for all participants.

  *   Tutorial Abstract
  *   Answers to two Scientific Thought Questions
  *   Current CV
  *   PI Recommendation Letter
