On 9 Feb, Elena and David will continue the talk begun on 26 Jan, regarding a concentration 
inequality for time reversible Markov chains. This week they will get into some of the details
of the method for bounding the operator norm of the perturbed transition matrix. 

The necessary complex analysis is summarized by segment 4 of the attached handout.
The handout also contains a very compressed account of the material presented on 26 Jan.
