NACO Coordinators:

Thursday night we replaced the old LC/NACO file with a copy in which we
have implemented conflict checking.  However, the next ID number was
inadvertently not set to a number higher than the last record input, but
rather reverted to 0. In other words,  the first record created had the id
nr2006000000, the same as the first record in 2006.   This means that any
new records added until this is corrected will have duplicate ids.  For
this reason, please do not input any new NAF records until further notice,
hopefully, some time later on Friday September 1.   I'm assuming that we
will be able to do something with any records input before you have had a
chance to read this message.  However, it's after midnight in California
and anyone who could do something about this is probably asleep.
