Dear Colleagues,

Please be aware that beginning on Friday, May 19 at the close of business, the data ArchivesSpace TEST will be refreshed against the data that in ArchivesSpace PROD. This action is necessary as a first step in testing a migration of data from the Fortunoff video archive into ArchivesSpace, and it means that all data that is currently in TEST will be wiped out and overwritten with the data that is currently in PROD. If you have been doing work in ArchivesSpace TEST that you don't want to lose as a result of the refresh, you should export a copy of the record that you've been working in prior to May 19 and then re-import it into TEST after the refresh is complete.

With that said, ArchivesSpace TEST will be unavailable for staff use from approximately 5 pm to midnight on Friday, May 19 during the refresh. Immediately following the refresh, the database will also be re-indexed. While the re-index is underway, TEST will be available for use, but you may notice varied search results in the application until the process is 100% complete, which won't happen until the end of the weekend.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and have a great weekend.

All best,
Matthew (on behalf of the Yale Archival Management Systems Committee)
