[Yale ArchivesSpace] Archives at Yale/ArchivesSpace Upgrade Information Session

Dear Colleagues:

The Yale Archival Management Systems Committee (YAMS) will hold an information session on May 9th, 2023, at 2pm on Zoom to describe and discuss the changes coming to Archives at Yale late in May. This event will cover the version upgrade planned for our installation of ArchivesSpace, the software that runs both the staff and public sides of Archives at Yale.

Selected changes to be covered include:

  *   Enhancements to reading room requests from Archives at Yale when items have digital objects
  *   Significant changes to Agents in the new version (alongside cautions and guardrails around these changes)
  *   Repair of the typeahead feature for staff-side searches
  *   An improved public user experience when looking at digital objects associated with a collection.

The session will last 45 minutes, with 30 minutes for presenting the changes and 15 minutes for questions and discussion.
