[Yulcat-l] OCLC Connexion, version 1.6

Hello Expert Users and Cataloging Colleagues!

We can now update our Connexion Client to 1.6.  Please feel free to 
contact your expert user.

PLEASE NOTE: We all need the "Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 on our 
computers before we can install Connexion version 1.6.
Therefore the installation will have two parts, which could be a bit 
confusing for the unwarned.

On PCAmigo, in the row labeled for OCLC + .NET Framework, version 
1.6, click on "details", to start loading. One will experience the 
usual delays: nothing appears to be happening, and no hourglass 
displays; but the program really is loading in the background.

When the Connexion load starts, please do not automatically click 
through all the defaults. We need to remember to click the radio 
button "For Everyone" when that option appears. The new version 
download retains al previous settings (if the previous download was 
done "for everyone").

Please update all machines where staff do Cataloging as soon as 
possible. We need to update our Connexion client before October 2006. 
The old client will become inactive at that time.
