[Yulcat-l] Cataloger's Desktop 2006 Issue 4 available

As noted below, Issue 4 2006 of Cataloger's Desktop is now available. Of 
note is that the CONSER, DCM, and LCRIs should now be reflecting the 
current LC policy on series (along with PCC guidelines). The rules for 
qualifying geographic names used as headings now takes into account the 
break up of Serbia and Montenegro into two separate countries, so places in 
Serbia or Montenegro no longer follow the exception to qualify by first 
order political division. The rule continues to apply to the U.S., Canada, 
Great Britain, Australia, and Malaysia.

    I am pleased to report that 2006 Issue 4 of Cataloger's Desktop is now 
available online.  Additionally, the problems experienced by some 
subscribers Monday evening have to the best of our knowledge been 
completely resolved.  If you are still experiencing difficulty accessing 
Cataloger's Desktop, please report exactly what is happening to me.  If you 
are able to log in but then experience access problems, please be sure to 
include a narrative of what you were doing just prior to the problem.  Be 
sure to include information about what internet browser you are using.
