[Yulcat-l] OCLC/RLIN21: UNICODE

Catalogers who use the Macro Express macro mapped to F11 (open RLIN import
file) and Shift F11 (open OCLC import file): the macros should work if you
follow Patricia's instructions and clear your import files of any MARC8
records.
CAUTION: be sure you are using either the (current) Macro Express master
file MASTER2D.mex or MASTER 2N.MEX. If you are still using one of the older
master files, such as MASTER1.2D.mex or MASTER1.2N.mex, the default macros
will automatically re-set the mapping to a non-unicode font. I know of at
least one cataloger in the SML Catalog Dept. who was still using
MASTER1.2D.mex as late as last week, so unit expert users should double
check the macro express files.
thanks,
Steven
