Learn more about the latest thinking on building economically sustainable digital preservation activities by joining OCLC Research Scientist Brian Lavoie in a live webinar on 15 April at 2-3 pm EDT (UTC 18:00) in which he will discuss:
* the economic challenges of long-term digital preservation, based on the work of the Blue Ribbon Task Force on Sustainable Digital Preservation and Access<http://www.oclc.org/research/news/2010-03-03.htm>, which he co-chaired
* the findings and recommendations from the Task Force's recently-published final report, Sustainable Economics for a Digital Planet<http://brtf.sdsc.edu/biblio/BRTF_Final_Report.pdf>
* a recap of the conversations around identifying practical solutions to the economic challenges of preserving today's deluge of digital data that took place at Blue Ribbon Task Force symposiums in April and May.
