Subject: Completion of the work of PCC SCS Non-Latin Script Cataloging Documentation TF
PCC colleagues:
The Guidelines for Creating Bibliographic Records in Multiple Character sets have been accepted by the PCC Policy Committee and are available from the PCC, BIBCO, and CONSER web sites.
During discussion of the guidelines at the BIBCO/CONSER Operations Representatives Meeting in May there was disagreement about allowing options in section 1.5.2 of the guidelines.
The PCC Policy Committee has agreed to post the document with the options in place allowing PCC catalogers that find the options useful to make use of them: http://www.loc.gov/catdir/pcc/scs/PCCNonLatinGuidelines.pdf
The PCC Policy Committee wishes to thank the PCC Task Force on Non-Latin Script Cataloging Documentation for its work and perseverance.
