Subject: Revised Module 31: E-serials
CONSER colleagues,
The PCC Task Group to Revise the E-serials Module 31 completed it's work and a revised version is posted: http://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/conser/pdf/Module31.pdf
This is not quite the final version, we are working on putting this document into a standardized format for PCC documentation. Please let me know if you have comments on the revised Module 31 by Friday Sept. 7, 2012. I will incorporate any changes needed into the final formatted version.
This version incorporates several recent CONSER decisions on coding linking fields to show changes in format, strategies for working with duplicate records for e-serials, and new and revised examples. The group also made recommendations for changes needed for RDA implementation, attached. Please let me know if you have comments on these recommendations as well.
Many thanks to the co-chairs Wen-ying Lu and Steve Shadle, and all of the members of the task force for their work on this. Thanks also to the Standing Committee on Training for overseeing the task group. --Les Hawkins, CONSER Coordinator
