Many of you probably saw the
<http://www.oclc.org/worldcat/open/usercontent/default.htm>OCLC<http://www.oclc.org/worldcat/open/usercontent/default.htm>
message several weeks ago announcing that it was now possible to add "user
content" to records for books that appear in OpenWorldCat. You can see
how this looks and works in reality by typing brady islandbridge into
Google or Yahoo and looking for the link that begins Find in a
Library. The link will take you to a record that shows what libraries hold
the book (under the Libraries tab), a Details tab that allows anyone to add
Table of Contents information or factual Notes, and a Reviews tab which
accepts reader reviews of the book. The review of this book was
contributed by OCLC's Lorcan Dempsey.
