If your position involves web development, maintenance or design, you need
to keep your web skills up to date. The Public Interface Committee (PIC)
and Web, Workstation & Digital Consulting Services (WW&DCS) offer classes
on Introduction to the Library's Web Server, Using Secure Shell and Using
the Front Door Template that you should attend. In addition, you should
have a basic knowledge of Dreamweaver and HTML.

If you choose to take a class at the Learning Center, you can take
advantage of a 20% discount as a Yale Library employee. The Learning
Center offers Dreamweaver MX Levels 1, 2 & 3, HTML 4.01, web design,
JavaScript, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop 8.0 classes. The Dreamweaver 1
and HTML 4.01 classes are recommended for web developers who need the
basics. You can go to the Learning Center IT Computer courses web page to
register at: http://learn.med.yale.edu/lcdb/courses/Outlinesubcat.asp?CatID=15

Did you know that you may be able to use your Learning Plan dollars to fund
a web editor or web design training course?
- If you have already submitted a Learning Plan (LP) to LHR and you would
like to add another activity:
Complete another LP form and check the revised box. This form is available
at: http://www.library.yale.edu/training/stod/lpforms.html

- If you have not developed a Learning Plan, you can go to the Learning
Plan support site for forms and information at
http://www.library.yale.edu/training/stod/learningplan.html

Please contact me at 2-1810 if you have any questions.
