caterpillars

Feeding the birds, thought I saw a bird dropping on the spicebush...and it was a caterpillar!  Sort of brown and white, but very clear eyespots.  I left it out on the spicebush.  I've never had a spicebush caterpillar before--can anyone tell me what instar it might be?

Then, finally tying up the daffodil leaves, I noticed a caterpillar on the pussytoes.  Would that probably be an American Lady?
