[NHCOLL-L:2982] RE: specimen tags - TLS Printing website

The blue tinting is not a problem. It is my understanding that it is
the exact same product before it is bleached to make it white (ie.
Forbon White Tag). I have had the light blue tags (and orange tinted
tags which are no longer available) submerged in solutions of 75%
ethanol, 10% buffered formalin, glycerin, and Clorox bleach since
September 30, 2005. The integrity of the tag is holding up just fine as
is the black printing (including the black ink of my written notes on
them in Uniball pens made by Sanford) in all of the solutions except
Clorox. The light blue pigment has faded a little in the ethanol and
formalin, compared to the glycerin. The Clorox solution has lightened
the blue tinting (and brightened the contrast) and completely bleached
the orange tinting to white, but has not lightened the black printing or
my writing in Uniball ink. However, the Clorox is degrading the tags as
they are easily torn and break / tear when folded. This is not the case
with the other three treatments. I will check these all again in a few
months.

Greg,

Do you mind them being blue on one side? That is the only thing holding
us back from buying from them.

TLS Printing now has specimen tags on their website:

	http://www.tlsprinting.com/specimen-tags-tls-printing.asp
<http://www.tlsprinting.com/specimen-tags-tls-printing.asp>

I have spoken with several satisfied customers and the company
is committed to this product line.
