Out of State (but not too far)

This wasn't in Connecticut, but close enough to get everyone thinking about checking you Buddlea for southern strays even at this early date.

Today at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, I lucked into a Gulf Fritillary on the butterfly bush by the visitor center. I think it's the first modern record in New York. Some research will be required to determine if there are any documented records for the state.
