Dear Friends and Colleagues -

st-compression-cpr>
For this list, this is in the "something completely different"
category -- a newer CPR technique advocated here by the Univ. of Arizona,
intended particularly for those untrained in traditional CPR. The American Heart
Association uses the term "Hands-Only CPR."
You will find ample confirmatory material via Google, like a Mayo Clinic
Presentation <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5huVSebZpM> of this technique. A
CPR overview can be found in
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiopulmonary_resuscitation>.
Although its effectiveness has been recognized since 2008, I hadn't heard of it,
which goes to show how life in the information age can end prematurely through
ignorance.
