Pinku Eiga

Just to add that the term "pink eiga" within the industry is slowly
becoming to specifically mean the type of sex film shot over five days
on a budget of approximately US$20,000. So a film such as Ian Kerkhof's
"Shabondama Elegy", which recently screened in Rotterdam, wouldn't
qualify to some as a "pink eiga" ... not for its hardcore sex but for
the size of its budget and relatively long shooting period: two weeks.
Incidentally, the French director of "Carne" was jealous that Kerkhof
had made the first "pink eiga" by a foreigner and would like to come to
Japan to put his own stamp on Japanese film history.

Incidentally, does anybody have contact details for Fukuma Kenji, author
of the definitive book on "pink eiga", "Pink Nouvell Vague", who is
apparently in Wales on a teacher exchange programme?
