Hosojin no kai: TV programs of late 1950s (mostly J)

Hello Junko,

Happy New Year! I wish I could have made it to these screenings. Did you go?
Maybe one day, when I finish all my other work (yeah, right...) I'll have
time to think about the history of television in Japan.

I'm busy teaching two big classes this semester. If I survive I'll have
learned a lot -- not sure where I can put it into practice though! I was so
busy working last semester that I forgot to apply for jobs! I sent in a
couple of late applications so maybe there's still a chance. I'd love to
come back to Japan for a while but I think I'll have visa problems if I do.

How are you approaching the 21st century? Are you still working at
Cinematrix or did that stop after the festival? Are you working on any other
film stuff? I found a couple of books when I went home last week that I
think are Chiharu's -- do you have an email address for her in Japan?

let me know your plans -- I'm sure we'll be able to meet up somewhere this
year!
