Jun Ichikawa Makes It To CD

Thanks to Michael Kerpan for the compliment and the plug.

I apologize for sounding like a broken record on the subject of Ichikawa
Jun -- but the man has never made a bad movie and is far more various than
his Ozu-esque reputation would indicate. I just wish more people out there
knew it!

I am not up to speed on Ichikawa DVDs -- I'll check with his office.

No plans for updating "Contemporary Japanese Cinema" -- it covers ten years
(1989-1999) and took me five to get published. I don't think the market will
be ready for Volume Two until the current decade ends -- if then.
