Kikuchi Kan Awards

The 49th Kikuchi Kan Awards were announced by .  The award is given to 
individuals and groups who excell in cultural endeavors.

In the film world, anime director Miyazaki Hayao and the film critic 
Futaba Juzaburo were given awards, and NHK's TV show Project X was also 
honored.  The other winners were Ichiro and the Mainichi Shinbun for its 
reporting on the archeological fakery incident.
