i think the credits are 'original' but they have been 'edited' for the dvd
release. at least in the yamatoya-film the original credits are all white,
on the dvd, however, they have a black framing - perhaps because the
contrast of the transfer is very bad and you won't be able to read them
without frames. 
the credits in yamatoya's film are meant to play over the footage.
the song of the opening credit, by the way, is sung by yamatoya himself.
