Anime on Animation

Anime seem to be ``cool'' these days, and beginning to exert a graphic
influence in other areas of design, particularly the clip-art style
prominent on flyers (for garage bands, parties) tacked to university
bulletin boards --- the places where the styles that will appear in
magazines and ads are pioneered.

There's been a show[1],[2] touring small museums in the United States
for the past couple of years, and Murakami Takashi[3] had simultaneous
exhibits in Boston and LA last summer (the LA show merited an article
in the _New York Times_ arts section).
