Toei forms affilation with Contents Japan

Toei Animation, Japan's largest animation house,
announced it has formed a business affiliation with
Contents Japan, an Internet content planning and
distribution venture, to start Internet distribution
of its animation work in September.

The project will be kicked off on September 9 with the
broadband distribution of Galaxy Express 999, a
popular cartoon by Reiji Matsumoto, first televised in
1978. Two episodes of the animation will be shown
every month via the Toei Animation website.

Subscription fees for the service will be announced shortly.
