Self-introduction

I am publisher of Stone Bridge Press, Berkeley, California. My 
company has published several books by Donald Richie and has several 
more film (and anime and TV) books in production. I lived in Japan 
from 1975-1985 and saw many films there (struggling mightily with the 
language). But the first J film I saw that made an impression on me 
was earlier, when I saw WOMAN IN THE DUNES.

I have joined this list to keep up to date on the critical issues and 
discussions regarding Japanese film (the recent discussion on 
translation of titles was an exceptional editorial bonus!).
