Asano Tadanobu's directorial debut/ Sakamoto Junji writes for the stage

A couple of short news items this morning:

Actor Asano Tadanobu is to make his directorial debut with a 
straight-to-DVD piece called "Tori."Asano's older brother, musician Kujun, 
is handling the soundtrack. The five-story bird-themed omnibus work goes on 
sale on March 31st.

Director Sakamoto Junji's first stab at writing for the stage, "Kuusou 
Mannen Saakasu-dan,"opens at the Shinbashi Enbujo in Tokyo on February 2nd. 
The cast features Emoto Akira, Nakamura Kankuro and Fujiyama Naomi. It runs 
until February 27th.
