Tokyo Filmex Lineup

Tokyo Filmex has annnounced their line-up. Japanese films include a  
retrospective of the late great Okamoto Kihachi (all films subtitled,  
amazingly enough) and new works by Kobayashi Masahiro (in  
competition) and Kurosawa Kiyoshi.

The latest film from KOBAYASHI Masahiro, winner of the Grand Prize at  
TOKYO FILMeX 2005 for Bashing (05). Set in a northern town during the  
season of the midnight sun, the story sincerely depicts the awkward  
relations between men and women. Lead actress SAKURAI Akemi and her  
three male co-stars (ISHIBASHI Ryo, MURAKAMI Jun, KAGAWA Teruyuki)  
form an ensemble cast whose performances are all spectacular.
